|
The
YIS Board resolved, that an international new tollway and events
involving the Iranian and Australian national teams would be a fitting
vehicle to launch the Project and established funds for YIS Project's
operations.
The
Greenslopes Hospital RSL subbranch, together with the Oceania Muaythai
Federation, through it's President John Cockburn are to be thanked for
making the very extensive arrangements to ensure the Launch was a great
success.
The YIS Project is very thankful for the support of the Launch of the following major corporate citizens.
Young injured service personnel and
their families throughout the world face the same difficulties and
uncertainties. The World Muaythai Council (WMC) proudly arranged for
the national Iranian Muay Thai team to compete against Australia at the
International Launch of the YIS Project. The YIS Board acknowledge the
support of the Iranian government for the project.
The YIS Board
and the WMC believed that the coming togeather of teams from such
political and religious diversity would add considerable weight to the
international nature of the Project. The WMC will be instrumental in
helping establish the YIS Project throughout its 110 member nations.
John Cockburn, on behalf of the YIS Board subsequently travelled to the
World Congress meeting of the World MuayThai Council participated in by
over 50 member nations and spoke of the launch in Australia. It was
unanimously resolved that the YIS Project be adopted by all member
nations.
